HOW WE WORSHIP
We like to start our week right, spending time with God and each other. We gather on Sundays to worship at 11 a.m. The Sunday morning service is usually the best time to attend a new church, and we want it to be a good experience for you. So, we want the whole family to feel welcome. We have church for children and adults.
When you arrive, someone will likely met you at the door with a smile, handshake, and church program. You'll also have a chance to meet some of us as you make your way inside. Don't feel like you have to make "church talk." Mostly, we just want to say "hello" and make you feel welcome. Also, feel free to grab some refreshments in our lobby.
While you may see some of us wearing coats and ties or dresses and heels, you will also find sweaters, sandals, shorts, jeans, and T-shirts. What we are saying is that you may dress in a way that suits you — as long as you feel comfortable.
We begin our services by singing praises to the Lord. Don't worry if you don't know the words — we'll put them on screens for you. Even if you don't think you can sing, don't let that stop you. We worship with joyful hearts, and that's what matters.
We will offer a time for prayer when we seek God for His will in our lives — which is always good. If you have a need to be met by God or just want to know Him better, we would be happy to join you in prayer.
Our messages typically last 30-45 minutes. We will be talking a lot about the Bible. If you don't have a one of your own, that's OK. You are welcome to use one of our Bibles, located under your seat or the one in front of you.
If you have kids, they will have the chance to learn about God and the Bible in a way they will understand. They'll also get to worship together, have time for some fun, and (hopefully) make some new friends. We will provide you with resources so you can continue the conversation with your children over lunch or any time after church.
WHERE WE ARE LOCATED
We meet in our building at 14900 E Old U.S. Highway 12, Chelsea, MI 48118. You can find us just a few minutes south of downtown Chelsea, not far from Pierce Park and a number of restaurants. We've been around for nearly 60 years, and we are looking forward to being part of Chelsea's future for a long time to come.
